Reverend Standley Gillings, Sr.

Rev. Standley T Gillings Sr was born on Sept 5th 1964 to the Late Earl and Ella Gillings. He was the first son after 5 girls. He attended Vanguard High School in Ocala, Florida and graduated in the class of 1982. Rev. Gillings began his Christian journey at an early age being a member of the of the Zion United Methodist Church. Rev. Standley T Gillings was joined in matrimony Oct 24th, 1987 to the Loving and Beautiful Lady Faye Leahmon Gillings. From this union came four children. Min. Standley Gillings Jr , Shederick Gillings Sr, Sherrelle Gillings and, Stephon Gillings. After marrying the Beautiful Lady Faye Rev. Gillings Was Lead to become an active Member of the Mt. Calvery Missionary Baptist church; where he served on the usher ministry and president of the young adult choir. Rev. Gillings Ministerial journey began when he was ordained as a deacon on March 15th 1998 under the Leadership of the Late Rev. Robert Hamilton. He served on the deacon board for many years and even served as Chairmen. Rev.Gillings Accepted his calling into the Ministry and on May 22nd, 2005 he was Licensed as a minister. Rev.Gillings even furthering his steps in the ministry on May 6th 2007 was Ordained; and installed as the Pastor of the Mt.calvary Missionary Baptist Church in July of the same year . Where he has been pastor for 16 years and counting. Continuing to flourish in the ministry Rev. Gillings Went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in theology From Th united theological seminary and bible College in 2009.

Rev. Gillings has many accolades and accomplishments.

In 2015 Rev. Gillings was invited to do the opening prayer at the house of representatives in Tallahassee FL. Rev. Gillings has also served many positions in the second Bethlehem Baptist association starting with being director general of the congress of Christian education, Bible expositor Under the leadership under the Late Moderator Dr. Fred Mae weathers.  1st and 2nd Vice moderator under the Leadership of the Previous Moderator Rev. Dr Jerome Gamble And also vice Moderator at a large Under the Late Moderator Rev. Keith blunt. Rev Gillings IS simply Growing in the Grace And knowledge of our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ.
